Danielle Rose received a master's degree in public history with a concentration in digital humanities from Northeastern University in 2021. She also holds a B.A. in history from the University of Florida. Prior to joining NEHGS, she worked as a digital history intern at the National Parks of Boston and a museum educator in Miami, Florida.

Jonathan Hill is a full-time researcher at NEHGS; he earned his BFA from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jonathan previously served as a board member on the Friends of the Town of Bedford Cemeteries. He has contributed to the Green-Wood Cemetery’s Civil War Project and to many other historical volunteer projects across the country.

Kimberly Mannisto earned her B.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing from Western Michigan University. She joined American Ancestors/NEHGS in Research and Library Services; she also is a certificate holder from the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate program. She was introduced to genealogy at a young age and has over 30 years of experience in research and report writing.

Areas of expertise: Early Pennsylvania settlers, Colonial New Jersey, Quaker records, Midwest (Michigan and Ohio), Finnish, DNA, Descendancy research, Scottish and English hereditary peerage titles, and Scottish genealogy with a particular interest in genetic markers and male clan descendancy.

Kelsey is a native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Elmira College. His interest in genealogy and history began at an early age: he joined the Mayflower Society in 1980, the Huguenot Society of America in 1985, and The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution in 1985. In addition, Kelsey serves on several museum and historical society boards. He has lectured on various topics and written many articles for publications, including Loyalist Plantations on the Susquehanna, Exploring the Wysocton Capture, and most recently Catharine, The Legend, The Legacy, Life Before the Sullivan and Clinton Expedition.

His expertise includes the Middle Atlantic States and Loyalist families in Pennsylvania and their relocation to Canada. He lives with his family on a sheep and horticulture farm.

Angela Napolitano is a researcher on our Research and Library Services Team. She has a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University in New York. She is a certificate holder from the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate program.  For the past few years, she has been volunteering at NEHGS/American Ancestors and assisting with the Catholic Records Project. She has frequently traveled to Italy to research ancestors in the Campania and L’Aquila regions. Her interests include America, Ireland, Italy, and DNA. She currently lives in Boston and contributes to genealogy study groups across the country.

Jade Aimers studied for her undergraduate degree in English Literature at the University of Glasgow. She joined the NEHGS team for ten weeks in the summer of 2021, on a Saltire Scotland Internship. Growing up in Edinburgh, Scotland, her research centers on Scottish and Irish genealogy.

Arlene Ovalle-Child grew up in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, a child of immigrants from the Dominican Republic. She attended Drew University, where she concentrated in both Physics and Spanish, then received her M.A. in Hispanic Studies from Boston College. She earned her doctorate at Boston University with a dissertation entitled Objetos de deseo en los cuentos de Silvina Ocampo. She is a member of the Modern Languages Department at Simmons University, where she teaches Spanish.

Originally born in Brazil, Diana holds a BA in History from the University of Brasilia, a MA in Religion from Yale University, and a MLS from Simmons University. She started at NEHGS as an intern in the Spring 2020 and was later hired as a Digitization Assistant in the Summer. Her previous experiences include adult education, the Yale Divinity Library, and an internship at Historic New England.

Rebecca Carpenter earned her BA in History from Fitchburg State University and her MA in History from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Before joining NEHGS, she worked for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Dedham Historical Society & Library, where she found a love for genealogical research. In her off time she enjoys trying out new breweries, reading history books, and exploring.
