Amanda served as lead editor on the Documents series of The Joseph Smith Papers in Salt Lake City. Prior to that, Amanda spent nearly four years as a project editor on math and science curriculum at Glynlyon, Inc., in Chandler, Arizona. She has an M.A. and a B.A. in English Literature from Arizona State University, with emphases in linguistics, children’s literature, and early Romantic British Literature. She also reads nineteenth-century Pitman shorthand and helped transcribe and annotate a number of shorthand journals from the mid- to late 1800s.
Originally from the Midwest, Yvette is now based in Salt Lake City. She has worked with the family history community for over a decade, using her digital marketing expertise to connect people with useful content and improve their experience of finding information online. She holds a B.A. in English (Medieval Studies concentration) from Miami University of Ohio, and a B.S. in Digital Media from Utah Valley University. She is fluent in Norwegian with a working knowledge of French, Spanish, and German. Yvette enjoys studying maps, language, technology, and tracing patterns of cultural traditions across time.
Don is the Associate Director, Database Search & Systems, at NEHGS. He first got involved with genealogy while in college and spent many a day in the NEHGS library tracing his ancestors through New England and New York. Don also did volunteer indexing work for the library before joining the staff in 2016. Previously, Don had a 30-year career in the software industry working in and leading engineering and product management teams focused on IT Management products. Don has a B.A. and M.B.A. from Boston University.
Molly is from York, PA. She studied English and French at Colby College in Maine and has a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. She enjoys many outdoor pursuits such as whitewater kayaking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing and has a few indoor hobbies like reading, knitting and creating a genealogy website for her grandmother’s family.
Marcia Young grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and Boston College Law School. She loves visiting house museums and exploring the stories they hold. After covering Wall St for almost 40 years, Bill Griffeth became CNBC’s Anchor-At-Large when he retired from day-to-day anchoring duties in December 2019. During his career he was nominated for six Cable ACE awards as Best News Anchor and for one Emmy for Best Documentary. Bill is the author of several books, including The Stranger in My Genes and By Faith Alone: My Family’s Epic History, both published by NEHGS. Next year, Audible will bring out his next book, Have At It, Sister, as an Audible True Crime Original. In the meantime, he is currently working on a sequel to The Stranger in My Genes. Bill is a former NEHGS trustee.
A graduate of the University of Denver, including a semester at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, Mollie majored in Art History and minored in Marketing and History; she plans to continue her education with an MBA in Non-Profit Management. Mollie performs administrative work for Research Services, supporting the researchers in ordering microfilm, managing correspondence with constituents, and organizing research materials. In her free time, Mollie, who recently moved to Boston from Los Angeles, enjoys travelling. With a family home on Lake Sebago in Maine, she often travels there as well as other parts of New England.
Curt DiCamillo, internationally recognized authority on English country houses and the decorative arts, joined NEHGS in February 2016 as our first Curator of Special Collections.
A longtime member of NEHGS, Curt has led highly successful heritage tours for us to England and Scotland, lectured extensively in the United States and abroad, and taught classes on British culture and art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Curt was previously Executive Director of The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA, where he successfully raised more than $7 million and initiated many innovative programs.
As Curator of Special Collections at NEHGS, Curt will provide strategic direction and expert guidance for organizing and exhibiting our extensive collection of family history-related artifacts and fine arts.
Jeanne assists NEHGS library visitors, both on-site and online, with their family history research. Prior to joining the staff, she served as a volunteer in the library and also contributed to an NEHGS book publication project. Jeanne is an expert in Italian genealogy and is also interested in studying British, Canadian, German, Irish, and medieval genealogy.
